On Native Ground - Where Art Speaks!
|
Actor/Producer Richard Anderson tells us about his long-time involvement and commitment to the Native American Community. Representing the Entertainment Industry, Anderson is a 20 year Board Member of the California Indian Manpower Consortium (CIMC). In the Filmmaking and Movie Industry since the 1940s, we ask Richard to give us his perspective about Native Americans telling their own stories in Hollywood. You may remember Richard as the character, “Oscar Goldman” in the Six Million Dollar Man and playing the same “boss” to Lindsey Wagner’s Bionic Woman. Richard produced all three Bionic Movies in the 90’s. His filmography includes working side-by-side with Spencer Tracy, Cary Grant, William Holden, Clark Gable and Walter Pidgen. He made 40 theatrical films (“Paths of Glory” “The Long Hot Summer”); over three hundred TV Shows and co-starred in seven television series.

This week we discuss most important aspect of any student's life(at least during the first week of the quarter, anyway): BOOZE. How will we do it, you say? Through music, good people! Through music! So put on your best silk dressing gown and your fuzzy slippers, barrage through your liquor cabinet/fridge, serve yourself your favourite sipping drink and sit in front of your fireplace with the radio on. Enjoy!
